1. Junior Angler Tournament open to all Junior Anglers age 15 & under as of August 9th, 2025
2. All participants in the Junior Angler Tournament must purchase a separate Junior Angler ticket.
3. Participants in the Junior Angler tournament desiring to enter fish in the overall rodeo must also
have an Open Rodeo Ticket.
4. Participants in the Junior Angler Tournament will only be allowed to place one fish, per angler,
per category, per day. Participants are welcome to weigh in as many fish, in each category, as
conservation laws will allow. However, only the single fish with the greatest weight, per
category, will make the leader board.
5. In the event of a tie, the first fish weighed in will be determined the winner.
6. All entrants’ fish must be caught on hook and line.
7. Categories for Junior Angler Tournament are as follows:
• Croaker • Flounder • Gafftopsail Catfish
• Ground Mullet • Hardhead Catfish
• Pinfish • Redfish • Sheepshead
• Speckled Trout • White Trout
8. Overall Junior Angler will be determined on a points system similar to that of Master Angler,
and other Top Angler Awards. (3 points will be awarded for 1st place, 2 for 2nd, and 1 for 3rd)
9. In the event of a tie in the total points awarded for Overall Junior Angler, the winner will be
determined by the angler with the highest cumulative total weight of fish, for which points have
been awarded.
10. Official Weigh Station is at Dauphin Island Marina. Weigh-in Times are the same as the
C.C.M.G.F.R.
11. Unless specifically superseded, varied, or exempted by these Junior Anglers Tournament rules,
all rules for the Conde Cavalier Mardi Gras Fishing Rodeo also apply.
